Poll shows Trump's growing popularity among voters

A significant increase in the popularity of the current US President Donald Trump in comparison with his most likely rival in the presidential race, Joseph Biden, was shown by the results of a survey conducted by the SSRS service commissioned by CNN. The data were published on August 16. The survey was conducted in the United States from August 12 to 15, about 1.1 thousand potential voters took part in it. Respondents were asked which of the candidates for the post of head of state they would support if the elections were held now. 50% of respondents supported Biden's candidacy, and Senator Kamala Harris, who became the Democratic vice presidential candidate. 46% preferred incumbent US President Trump and Vice President Michael Pence. 1% of respondents said they would support any other candidate, 2% of respondents said they would not support any of the candidates. Another 1% of citizens refused to answer the question. The results of the previous survey showed support for Biden 55% of potential voters, Trump was supported by 41% of respondents. Thus, Trump managed to significantly reduce the popularity gap from his main rival in the upcoming presidential race. Earlier, the news agency reported that according to a survey conducted by Fox News, Biden is eight percentage points ahead of Trump in popularity.
