Chinese authorities reported on the current situation with COVID-19 outside the mainland, Xinhua News Agency reported on August 31. According to the National Health Commission of the PRC, 4,801 cases of a dangerous infection have been identified in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) during the entire epidemic, including 88 fatal ones. 4320 people were discharged from hospitals. In the SAR of Macau, 46 cases were identified, all ended in recovery. At the same time, 488 cases have been confirmed in Taiwan, including seven fatal ones. 462 people were discharged from hospitals. Recall that on the mainland of China, only 85,048 cases of the disease were detected, of which 80,177 people were discharged from hospitals. 4634 people died.
