Xiaomi suspended MIUI 11 deployment due to coronavirus outbreak


The schedule to send MIUI 11 shell updates for Chinese company Xiaomi smartphones has been shifted due to coronavirus outbreak. This is reported by the GizChina. Xiaomi representatives spoke about delays in deploying a new shell based on Android 10 on the Chinese social network Weibo. The report notes that the delay is caused by the suspension of some units of the company due to the outbreak of coronavirus. The delay of mailing of updates of a cover of MIUI 11.2 will mention the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro, Mi 9, Mi 8, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 6, Redmi K30, Redmi K30 5G, Mi 10/Mi 10 Pro and Mi MIX 2S models. Also, some models will receive MIUI 11 with a delay of several weeks. Xiaomi introduced MIUI 11 in October 2019. A new version of the software shell reworked visual effects, added dynamically scalable fonts, and additions for Mi Work's set of applications. As previously reported by the news agency, in February Xiaomi added to the test version of MIUI 11 firmware a new feature App Behavior Records, designed to protect smartphones from spyware applications.
