In France, decided to ban heated cafe terraces
The French government will introduce a ban on heating the terraces of cafes and restaurants by the spring of 2021, Agence France-Presse reports on July 27. We intend to stop using environmentally abnormal methods that lead to completely unjustified energy consumption, said Minister of Environment and Environmental Transformation Barbara Pompili. According to estimates by environmental organizations, in France there are at least 12.5 thousand heated teras. In some cities of the country, such as Rennes, heating terraces is already prohibited.
