Argentina extended coronavirus quarantine until June 7

The Argentine authorities ordered an extension of the quarantine regime imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic, President Alberto Fernandez said during an online conference. We extend until June 7, he said. At the same time Fernández stressed that in a number of regions of Argentina the last week did not reveal new cases of SARS-CoV -2 infection. However, in poor areas of megacities, the number of people infected continues to increase. In this regard, Fernandez promised to increase the number of tests conducted to detect infection in these areas. According to the news agency, on May 16, scientists of Argentina developed their own test for detection of coronavirus of a new type. President Alberto Fernandez argues that the test is not inferior in accuracy to its counterparts.
