Can there be a paid subscription on Steam?

An enthusiast with the name lashman discovered in the code beta version of Steam a mention of a paid subscription. He shared his find on Twitter on April 22. According to the information found, players will be able to choose how often to pay for a subscription: once a month, per quarter or per year. However, no official information has yet been received from Valve. We remind that Steam is the largest digital distribution service of video games. It was launched by the American company Valve in 2003.
