The need to declare a state of emergency in Georgia is not yet seen
The need to establish a state of emergency in Georgia is not seen by the Government at this stage, but if such a state of emergency arises in the near future, such a measure will be taken. The statement after the next meeting of the interdepartmental coordination council on coronavirus prevention was made by the Prime Minister of Georgia Georgy Gakharia. At this stage, we have all the tools to gradually meet the challenges facing the country. According to data to date and an objective assessment of reality, today there is no need to declare a state of emergency. But if tomorrow such a need arises, we will certainly make this decision, Gaharia explained. The Prime Minister said that based on the worsening situation and the increase in the number of infected and likely infected persons, Georgia is moving from the stage of curbing the spread of coronavirus to the stage of its spread. Recall that in Georgia 34 confirmed cases of coronavirus are recorded, 1,008 people are quarantined, and 64 in hospitals.
