Boeing 737 MAX tests for certification will begin on June 29, Reuters
Test flights of Boeing 737 MAX airliners before certification of aircraft of this model will begin on June 29, Reuters reports citing informed sources. It is reported that pilots and crew members from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAU) are already preparing to begin work on test flights. At the same time, test flights will take place for at least three days. After pre-flight training, the crews will conduct tests on the 737 MAX 7 model, equipped with special equipment. Pilots will work out various piloting scenarios and extreme maneuvers during a flight over Washington state. Also, pilots will deliberately use the MCAS system, previously a failure in which, according to experts, led to two plane crashes. Tests are carried out to verify the safety of the 737 MAX model for flights. So far, no official comments have been received from FAU and Boeing Corporation.
