Erdoğan threatened to move to unilateral action in Idlib
The Turkish authorities, who had previously reached agreements with representatives of the Russian Federation on Syria, reserved the right to unilateral action. This was said by Turkish President Rekeep Tayyip Erdoğan during an event organized at the Halić Congress Center in Istanbul on the occasion of International Women's Day. According to him, Moscow must meet its obligations in Syria, otherwise Turkey reserves the right to achieve the objectives of Operation Spring Shield with its own resources. The head of state added that any solution that will ensure the security of Turkey's borders and the population of Syrian Idlib is acceptable to the Turkish side. As the news agency reported, on March 6, Turkish President Rekeep Taip Erdoğan said that the agreement between the Russian Federation and Turkey on the situation in Syrian Idlib would bring significant benefits.
